I am enjoying the last minutes of winter break. Today, I went to Electronic Arts in Burnaby with my classmates, MinJoo and HyeJin. We were all so excited because our digital illustration instructor and a graphic designer at EA Games, YeonJung Kim (ivaeye.com), has invited us over to EA campus. The campus was surely far from school where we departed. The path that the bus took was a neighborhood area, and it made us doubt the actual location of the campus. We got lost as we arrived---the buildings were huge that we had to walk around to find the actual main building with the entrance for visitors. We were late but YeonJung welcomed us with a big smile:)
When I was taking this picture, all three of us had no idea what we will go through...
We didn't think this was the main building because it had "no visitor access" sign on the door.
Well, we ended up leaving the building through this door after the tour.
We even had to climb over the gate to get to the main building.
Good thing there were no security guards around.
Yay, finally the main entrance!
There were two game stations out of the frame, one PS3 and the other one I don't remember.
Free game stations were installed everywhere throughout the building,
some of them were classic and some were new.
Also, screens were all over the place viewing promotional videos for games.
The visitors needed to sign up. This requires the name of person at EA.
The man at the reception desk gave each of us a visitor's tag with our name and date of visit.
Hi, MinJoo.
A little store across the reception desk. Many games were on sale.
There were merchandises with EA Games logo on.
YeonJung and we went upstairs.
The EA people in this building develop FIFA Soccer games. Do you see the soccer field?
We could see how the campus is sports-friendly environment on a walking tour.
We had some good coffee and chat.
The image on the wall is an elongated baseball player.
I loved the gesture and the movement that the massive black stroke creates.
Car game still images/concept designs on the wall.
Cafe area. It was quiet, and there were not many people around.
A line of text you might see on the lighting is a wise saying.
The one I could recall at the entrance was Michael Jordan's.
Guess what was there at the corner of the cafe? Another game station.
I took this picture through the window after exiting the building.
Translucent blue fabric blinds were impressive.
The fabric definitely created a calming atmosphere
along with white lighting dividers which might look harsh.

I would like to thank YeonJung for her time!
I was motivated by the visit to EA Campus in Burnaby. Oh how I admire such work environment! My last term at ECU begins in two days. Hwaiting! >:)
